I agree with much of your post, but this still begs the question, why in the studio? Why spend the money on either hourly time in a studio or on your own home studio just to learn how to play? Neither one of those is necessary or even helpful to learning how to play. If you really have to spend some money, it's a lot cheaper and more effective to pay for music lessons and a practice space - the latter not even having to cost money.That to me, is a big part of the reason the musicians today are learning the tune, and learning how to play, in the studio.

I play everything except the drums...which is the only thing you don't seem to like on my stuff.
