hi,
I was wondering how i can condense vocals on a wav file in Acid music, Sound Forge or cool edit pro, any info on this is appreciated..thanks

Perhaps you can explain what you mean by "condense vocals."

Is that anything like "condensed" soup? Mmmm Mmmmm good!

Do you possibly mean COMPRESSOR? If you do Sound Forge has a plug in known as the Optimizer. This is essentially a compressor algorithim. A compressor is a audio device whose pre-amp limits sound output when it reaches a user set threshold (set in dB) therefore making the output sound more even. In practical use e.g. vocals, it will stop the vocals sounding so dynamic i.e the vocals won't jump out at you in certain parts of the mix. Failing that, you can by an outboard compressor for about $500 (that's NZ $'s, probably $150 US). Just plug this inline between your mic and your soundcards input!
