compressed vocals sound nice in a recording. How legitimate would live compression be at a regular show?
would it produce the same effect as when recorded? is live vocal compression a common thing? (it sounds like the strokes compress the hell out of their vocals, the eels too. maybe not, i don't know).
also, if this IS a good idea, can some one kindly suggest a suitable compressor for this purpose?
