Hey!
I have a ASUS A7V133 VIA KT133 with Audiowerk 2 soundcard.
My soundcard works pretty good with the VIA chipset.

Now i wonder hows it going for you other who own a VIA chipset motherboard. What soundcard are u using? Do you still have problems with clicks and pops?

Would be nice to know if there is still problems.

Regards

It that the Intel board or the AMD board? The only issues were with the early Intel boards. I think they got them fixed eventually...I haven't heard of issues for a while.

But I never could get the damn thing to work.

I read some where that it is recommended for you to constantly update your VIA drivers...

can someone tell me where I can download latest VIA chipset drivers?

so far I have no problem with my PC, PIII 800 with ASUS mobo & VIA chipset.

I am planning to get the Hoontech C-port and I know they do have some problems with VIA chipset.... :(

just wanna be prepared. :)

I was running a Delta 44 on a Celeron 500/VIA Apollo Pro 133A for a bit - could never keep it running seamlessly for more than a day or two

I finally gave up and built a 'music-only' machine (Pentium III 700; Intel chipset) and it works AMAZINGLY!!! not one pop, click, skip, crap-out, etc. since I built the machine.

A7V133 is an ASUS board for AMD K7.

I've been a fan of the newer VIA chipsets - just search this board and you will find some of my postings. I have two systems both using the ASUS P3V4X motherboard, Pentium II based, VIA Apollo Pro 133A chipset. Never had a problem with them. But when I posted this same question awhile back there were a few credible complaints with earlier VIA chipsets and different audio hardware.
