Gosh, this thread's suddenly become very British...

I have to say that the only extra option that I think I'd use is the cutting one track into more than one physical cd tracks. I do everything on the Fostex, so I don't need to export to a PC etc...

I will keep an eye out for a cheapy on Ebay, but I'm not gonna go mad trying to find one. I couldn't send my unit away to be upgraded either, I've been without it for a week, and that nearly sent me mad.

Dave.

I say chaps I'm in England too.
A geordie in the smoke.

I bought my SCSI zip a couple of years ago at Maplin but I don't know if they still have them. Computer places that specialise in old Mac stuff might be able to help. If you can buy/hire the drive my offer stands.

The other route would be to return the unit to SCV London (Fostex's UK importer) you can find them at http://www.scvlondon.co.uk/

Cheers old bean, that's a 'canny' link. I think given the state of the postal service and cost, I'd be best aquiring a zip drive rather than sending it off for upgrade, and like Dave I don't want my precious vf160 out of my hands for any length of time!

When exporting to WAV becomes a need rather than a 'would be nice', as it might do when i come to do some home 'mastering', then I'll pursue getting a jazz drive.
