varispeed : A means of changing the speed at which a tape recorder runs in order to change the pitch or duration of a tape recording. Recently, this involves the use of a servo-controlled capstan, and the speed may be varied by changing the reference frequency of the servo.

varispeed oscillator : In tape recorders, an oscillator used to vary the frequency of the AC driving an AC capstan motor and, hence, the tape speed. Recorders whose capstans are driven by DC motors often have DC voltage controls for varispeed operation. These are often mistakenly called varispeed oscillators.

Can you guys give me more information about varispeed oscillators?

How is it hooked up to the motor?

What does the varispeed do to the motor in the tape machine?

varispeed changes AC converts to Frequency hooked up to the motor?

I would like to make some varispeed multi tracks and overdubs using
the varispeed

How do record my tracks guitar, keyboards, vocals and then use the
varispeed to do wobbles and speed effects

What do you guys know any varispeed techiques?

Slowdown, skippy!

I'm still waiting for YOU to tell me what Alpha Grammar problems are and what are some advanced techniques for Alpha Grammar problems!?!?!?

Guys know any Varispeed overdubbing ideas?

Know any Varispeed layering ideas?

Vary the speed with creamy, milky compression. Use tape compression. Add some spill and vary some more just for good measure.

Layer this and that until it is creamy smooth and layered.

This really ought to do it, whatever it is.

AHAHAHAHAHAH!

I think I read somewhere that the varispeed is creamier if you add two eggs.

Take4 tape machines and record my vocals at different
varispeeds so its layers the vocals or guitars at different
varispeeds

Tape machine#1 varispeed 2 semitones up
Tape machine#2 varispeed 4 semitones up
Tape machine#3 varispeed 2 semitones down
Tape machine#4 varispeed 4 semitones down

So when i record the vocals or guitar i get Varispeed layering

How would you know, skippy??? You never seem to actually do any recording??????

I'd like to know the parking lot answer to this one at least.
