Fantastic work Greg .
I can't find anything bad to say about it.
Reminds me of my youth.

Hey that's good. I know why he was thinking a capella - the break. I assume this had it's own thread at some point but I never went in the clinic much.Lol. I don't remember. I don't know why I would have, but maybe I did.
Here it is. I need to remix this thing....
Thanks a lot dude.Fantastic work Greg .

Awesome, thanks. You can buy several songs just like this one from the links in my sig.I can't add any more to what has already been said. Great song, great mix, great sound all over. It's a song I would buy. Very well done and has a humorous side as well. Doesn't get much better than that
Thanks Bud. Ray is right though. I apparently did do a vocals only mix. I don't remember it, but I asked my wife about it and she does. She says she liked it. Go figure.Hey that's good. I like it.
Congratulations Greg.
I just received my HR newsletter and Vaginasaurus Rex is a featured thread - right on the top! -
Made me chuckle a bit. For I believe that the threads are chosen automatically via the amount of hits they tally.
The french must be going nuts - Sacré bleu! Qui est ceci Gregois le Bloodshit?
Lol. That's funny. I'm glad to see my work resonating in such a profound and meaningful way.Ever since I heard this I've been saying 'vagina' a lot.
"how was your day?" "it was vagina"
"man. that guys hat looks like a vagina."
"she's a vaginasaurus rex from what I've heard"
I even shared it on my facebook page.
Thanks a lot arcadeko.Sounds good dude. Backing vocals are perfect. I like the delay on the Rex. Solo works nice too. Good stuff
Sweet. Thanks for trying. Sorry it doesn't work for you. I'll be on the lookout for your posts.I can't get the reverbnation page to play on this stupid thing.
I did listen to the CDbaby tracks. Good stuff Greg. I like your style of tunes! I am thinking you'll dig some of the stuff i got up my sleeve!
I'll keep checking back.
Thanks dude. I'm surprised to see My Tourettes Queen get so much love. Lol. That song started out as a joke and just kind of snowballed into what it is. Glad you liked it.Great song, Greg. Would not change a thing. Can't imagine why the challenger backed out.
What I really enjoyed was finding "My Tourettes Queen" as pointed out by Johnny Deep. Very nice. We use to catch the Ramones ('79-'81) playing clubs in Connecticut and those where great times for me. Queen is spot-on!
Man, 7 pages in and I just saw this.
Love everything about it. You almost sound like Alice Cooper in some spots.
I hate Poison and anything after the original band broke up. Killer, Love it to Death, and School's Out all have shit I'm pretty sure you'd like.I'm not really a fan of Alice Cooper for no other reason than I'm just not very familiar with his stuff. By all accounts I should like his early work. I just need to dig into it. I like songs like 18 and Schools Out but I don't really know his more obscure stuff. But if his later stuff is anything like Poison, I'll pass on that.![]()

Sweet. I'll check it out this week. A lot of the bands I like tout him as an influence, so it just stands to reason that I'll probably like it.
Ok, finally got a chance to listen a few times tonight. I think it sounds great. I was expecting more of a Heavy Banger type sound though.
Anyway, the whole thing is really focused and polished sounding...no extraneous stuff. Straight to the point, but still plenty of little variations thrown in here and there to add interest.
2 questions: 1) Is that a Mexican wrestling mask in the photo? Pretty cool. 2) How do you do the guitar sound beginning right around 1:19. It sounds kind of familiar and almost like you're riding a toggle switch on the guitar - just curious. It's a cool sound.
If anything. I felt like the solo towards the end was a little buried. I also thought the tone of the little lead bits throughout the song was maybe a little meatier and smoother sounding than the actual solo at the end, and if so, I kind of preferred that sound from earlier in the song. Your stuff already sounded great when I first remember hearing it, so it's tough for you to improve to my ears, but I do think you continue to refine your thing. The guitars are another step forward. Nice.
Thanks dude. Aint seen you around in a while. How's things?Nice! I had to listen a low volume, but from there I could tell the mixing was very good. Love the song as usual.
Rex is King.
Humour & serious playing - Zappa did that but got way too serious about both. He forgot about K.I.S.S. which Kiss employed so well.
You were actually going to do a PROPER mono mix of Sloop if you recall. You accapella mix was becasue someone asked/commented about the layers of harmony.
I do think a mono remix would be really Brian.
I've got a big pile of covers I've done over the years. I'm gonna hand pick about 20 or so and make one big ol cover album and just give it away to whoever wants it..
