Does anyone here know if theres a great tonal difference between the v-amp 2 and the v-amp pro for recording purposes?
Thanks!

From what I understand, the patches are the same. The Pro model has more output options.

So, quality wise, you think there would be no difference in the sound?

get the pro used, will cost the same and have a better look, looks less like a toy and has better connectivity options.

my personal taste tough! :D

Hey

Yeah tonally they're totally the same.

Cool factor dictates that you get the pro.

I've owned the pro. It didn't fit my needs, but it fit nicely in my rack.

The SPDIF output came in really handy. It was a breeze to connect directly into my soundcard with as low noise as possible.

That pretty much sums it up. The big difference is a Digital (SPDIF) output which can be useful for freeing up an analog input.
