The answer to pretty much every one of your questions is "Try it and see if it works". It's really that simple. This isn't Pain-by-numbers. There is no definitive answer to any of your questions.

I don't get why people that are recording at home and don't have to worry about paying for studio time don't just TRY things. Isn't that the beauty and fun of having your own studio, however modest that might be?

I look forward and love when Saturday afternoon comes along and I can just wake up whenever I want, eat breakfast whenever I feel like it, fire up the studio and just enjoy the hell out of it. It's a lot more fun than asking everything that crosses my mind to a bunch of strangers. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it.

The international motto of the home studio musician should be "Just try it".

Words to live by...

Holy shit. The funny thing is, that was actually a typo. I meant to say "Paint-by-numbers".
What's even funnier is that I have a list of potential song titles, and "Pain by Numbers" is one of them. But that's not what I wanted to type here.

True story.

It's funny too, that I almost edited that for you, but after reading it again it seemed to make more sense the way it was written. Now it shall be a phrase coined by RAMI The Great. :D

Wait what? You have a staple gun? Man, I wish I could afford one to make some bass traps. :)

Dammit

Eh, but you can't copyright a title... unless you can in Canada. :(

And I'm so dry on new material, I might use it anyway.

Sooo true! Why ask "what's the best way to record electric bagpipes"? Stick a mic on it and find what works.Too many people want instant results without putting in the time and effort to actually learn what it takes.

I don't expect, that you say, I must have 4 guitar track, and panning is always 100% left n right. But I expect, that you share your experience with me, what works for you.
"The international motto of the home studio musician should be "Just try it"." If you here thinking so, than for what is this site?

"Why would you not just try things? Explain that to me. Please." Explain me you, why is created this site, if you say, "just try it " :DDD. I'll maybe save time, if I got answers, but the best answer was "just try it".
If you havn't enough experience, or won't help me, just say it.
"Keep asking every question that crosses your mind instead of recording and experimenting", go to my profile, and see how much question have I asked. I had never ask, how should I mix drums or guitartracks, what is really personal taste...if you can't help me in this, no problem, but don't say me what should I ask.
If you always say try it yourself, than better close your site.

"Actually here....let me try to explain and be helpful. There's a difference between asking about equipment, for example, since in order to "try out" equipment you'd have to spend money every time you wonder about something. I can understand asking about something like that. I can also understand something like asking about what most people prefer when it comes to some mixing tequniques, to get other people's ideas on how to record or mix something." I don't agree with this, becouse in choosing equipment, there is also different answers, "totally subjective and there is no correct answer", one say the scarlett 2i2 is the best choice, the other say, better get M-Audio, the 3th say another option. in mixing is the same thing, one say I use theese plugins, the other say theese are sh*t. Whatever...

I just listen the song, what have I mentioned, and I hear 2 different guitartrack, but both guitar track can you hear in both speaker. This can I resolve, without panning, but I think this is a bad way to making music. If you have 5 minutes, you can listen the song, and maybe you can answer, how should I record this song.
I don't know, maybe the 2 different guitartrack recording 4 times, and panning 100% LRLR?
