I've found this by browsing around....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5789801031
At first I thought - AH! good for them (meaning good for the company as well as for the guys who are searching e-bay for tapes and simply don't know that there's the way to actually buy new stock.
Then I've looked into feedback, and see bunch of stuff sold ...ok, no way to know what stuff, but then I see bunch of feedback from sellers as well... hmmmmmmmmmm, does this mean that the user recordingsystems (which is USRecording company (or representing person) also buys stuff on e-bay???
Also why not to list more products then?
Why no link to the site? (this may be restricted by e-bay policy????). Still, there's no even mentioning internet address or some direct company contact info?

well, any e-bay experts around? heh heh... :D what does this look like to you, guys...

really, this maybe not so important issue anymore, since the tapes are being rolled and are available, but still.... just for hey of it... I feel like this "e-bay found" needs to be pointed out here at bbs.

/respects

The e-bayer had a name change a few years back. The "old" ebay name seems to suggest that the seller is an employee of USRecoding.
Maybe makin a little cash on the side....buy employee wholsale, sell on e-bay.

If it's new Quantegy, its better than any of the other questionable crap-tape being sold on e-bay.

I have used us recording 3 times in the last 6 months with no problems at all.
They had tape when I couldnt find it any place else.

ahhh. I ordered from USRecording as well in the past... the best thing is that they actually DO tell you the details about the tape (date of manufacturing). For example I've ordered in the past from some other distributor... which was ok overall, but I've received 2002 tapes (which was 2 year old... no big deal, but still..you know).

My post here is about that e-bay seller (ID). I think technoplayer maybe right, the person could be working for USRecording. Or maybe it's just who ever, really.... just trying to make a couple buck per tape by simply buying bunch at USRecording and selling on e-bay.... the price is marked-up... so.

ah whatever. Still better than buying old used... and YES, people still DO IT :p
HEY! tapes are not the same as guitars, or drums etc.... not getting any better with age ..heh heh
....btw, do Guitars and Drums really? hmmmmmmmm

aged wood - sweeter :D

The openning bid price on the eBay listing is higher than the regular price on their website.

http://www.usrecordingmedia.com/qugp1x25inta.html :)

and you still have 'open room' for bidding.... no buy it now.... so have fun, bidding I guess... as as always good luck...lol

it's actually very funny thing, 'cos it's like saying...hey, dudes. We've got tapes - new! But if you love ebay, so here you have it. The price mark-up can actually reflect all the expence related to PayPal and e-bay fees, but again... why not to just address people to the site or post contact info (ala , btw, go here for all the available tapes/products).????

okey....

its definitely to cover the ebay fees.

why is it so surprising that the company might have bought a few things on ebay a couple years back?

The "buying" part is what makes me think it might be an an employee.

And as e-bay is living proof, there is no shortage of people willing to pay "more".

"Its on e-bay...it MUST be a deal! Right???"

well,,, it looks like "couple" things are like being stretched to 7 pages of purchases.... heh :). But it is possible, that compony may purchase all sorts of things from office supplies through what ever... like flower seeds for outdoor office building decoration.... saving a few bucks. ;)

anyhow... what the heck we are talking here about. silly stuf. ;)
