Using my Oxygen 8 Ver1 in ProTools MP

I cant setup midi in protools its so frustraiting. I have a usb oxygen 8 keyboard that is plugged in using usb. For pro tools do i have to setup any other midi ports ont he back of my keybaord into my interface. As there is a midi out (usb and thru). Then setting all that in pro toosl is getting really enoying please help.

Mac or PC?

for mac you would have to configure the Audio Midi Setup thing.

you dont have to plug any MIDI cables if you are using USB. make sure the oxygen is set to USB output (if that is something you are supposed to configure)

what are you trying to do midi? punch in key/drum parts? then you might just have your channel settings wrong.
