Hi,
I need a little help here...I am running a +4 system.
So I am probably makeing more out of this than needs to be.
Do I need to set my faders at -10 or O vu.
Im trying to get all my equipment set to the same levels..
So when they say +4 does this mean that when I set my faders at 0 vu this will produce a +4 on my meters?
On my test CD they give me a ik tone at operating level??? what! is operating level on my faders Ovu?...to produce a +4 meter value...

Can someone please explain....Its so simple im not getting it..!!

Thanks All !

Bob

No, 0db on your faders mean that you do not change the volume of the signal. 0db on your meters mean "reference level" which in your case would then mean +4db.

Confusing ain't it? That's because db is all relative. 0db just means "as loud as".

O vu

So ....I take it that I leave my faders at O vu?
on the faders and the submasters?

sometime the signal is way too hot and when I set the faders at -10 I get a 0vu on the submasters and main outs... Whew!!

So..Regebro...When I get a signal at O vu it is actually +4....

I think I need to reduce the thickness of my ..head :)
