Would it be a bad investment to buy a compressor to use in live situations? I can't stand when bassists play and certain notes are alot louder than the rest. Do you think a compressor would help this problem out?
Most players I know use a compressor in their live rig. But you should also know that depending on the size and shape of the room, different notes will respond differently. You might notice that certain notes in a song may seem really loud or disappear. That can be helped somewhat by ringing out the room and the placement of your P.A.
