Hi guys,
I'm currently trying to find a portable recording solution to record demo's while i'm away or when i'm downstairs with my piano.

So far, I'm torn between these two:
SAMSON - C01U USB STUDIO CONDENSOR MICROPHONE
(http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1810

and

BEHRINGER - USB STUDIO CONDENSOR MICROPHONE C-1U
http://www.behringer.com/en/products/C-1U.aspx

I've been reading many reviews about them both. But people either really hate them, or really like them.

The behringer is a cheaper and I'm leaning towards it as i'm on a bit of a tight budget now. All I need is something to record demo's with male vocals and some baby grand piano tunes (most of the time). It does not need to be studio quality. But I'd want a least some amount of clarity.

Any help much appreciated! thx all =)

They all leave a lot to be desired, the Cad is usable, not good

Id reccomend a ZOOM H2 for that situation...its not quite a USB mic...but more of a small sized solution for that sort of thing....theere are other brands of the same sort of thing...but the Zoom seems to be the best buy of all of them.

I did see a Blue USB mic on craigslist for 40 bucks earlier...If I was going off of reputation Id have to choose thier entry...but just because a good company put out something...doesnt mean its not a turd.
