I'm using Sonar X-1 Producer.
When I select input source on a track, I get a pop up list:
Left Tascam US-1800 1/2
Right Tascam US-1800 1/2
Stereo Tascam US-1800 1/2
ect, ect.
What I'm doing and I think I got it right, is the left 1/2 in input 1, and Right 1/2 is input 2, and if I select Stereo 1/2 (which I haven't tried) it will combine inputs 1 & 2 into the same track.
The pop up repeats the same scenario for 3/4, 5/6 and so on.
I'm recording just fine, just want to make sure I understand what I'm doing.
Does this happen on all DAW's or just Sonar? I haven't installed the Cube Base.

Next question: I have a Art MPA Gold Pre Amp running into a Art PRO VLA 2 using XLR patch cables, and the VLA running into channels 1 & 2 on the 1800. Can I use TSR's into say inputs 11 & 12? and free up 2 XLR ins and will that bypass the built in preamps on the 1800?
