Update pix of my humble studio (400+k)

Very nice looking room. I am inspired by how professional it looks. I'm going to do a little remodeling after the holidays to try and make my room/garage more workable.
I think if my studio space was half as nice as yours I would spend more time out there.

PT User: Well, GC sells it for $499. I get a pro discount which got me down to $399, They loaded the wrong box in my truck and gave me an extra $70 off because I had to return it and get the correct one. BTW, I wish I had the cherry but it wasn't even available when I bought mine. I think this is the best desk I've owned (and I've had several) as far as knock down studio furniture goes. The 8 sturdy casters makes it a breeze to pull out in order to make cabling changes!

Also, I'm tax exempt.

EdWonbass: Part of the deal is having a space which is comfortable and always setup and ready to go. You will find it's always easier to just fire everything up when the mood hits you.

In my case, I don't get to record myself much but there's always mixing to do on client projects.

That's the unit.

However, I've done a small bit of modifications.

The 2 CD racks (under the monitor shelf) were left out. I had NIce Racks build two custom height racks to fit in that space. They worked out to be 5 spaces. And becuase they're just sitting in there, I can change the angle at which they face me. These racks also give extra space for an additional set of audio monitors if desired.

And I did not install the slide out shelf in the upper portion of the desk. Instead I added additional rack rail. I haven't mounted anything there yet but have plenty of room for expansion.

Between all the rack spaces in the unit and the two 5 space racks I got from Nice racks, I have PLENTY of rack space and it's all reachable from my chair.

Well, at 52 I hope not! My 30 y.o. son and daughter-in-law had my first grandchild back in April!

Actually, I have a 2 month old daughter, and one of the best ways to calm her down is to take her in my studio, place her between my 5.1 speaker system, and rock her out

I could'nt agree more. I'll be moving into a new home in a few months and it has a 3 car garage. My wife and I already talked about it and I'm going to convert the 3rd bay into my own recording/playing/inspirational/creation space. Right now I'm using a spare bedroom and sometimes I hate to play because of the noise that the kids make, or if it's late at night I can't jam out. I've been searching this forum for awhile now to get some ideas and read up on some of the building techniques. I don't need a profesional studio, but I want to do it right. I can't wait to get started on it. BTW nice pics of that room pdlstl, it has definately inspired me in my future project.
