Unmixing the Mixers

Being new here I am curious about the contributors. With the amazing amount of technical discussion I would surmise there is a large group of professional
recording engineers but what else?I would like to post a survey and find out:
A)Who makes a living as a studio engineer or who is a retired prof.sound person.
B)Who is a musician,working amateur,or retired who loves to record himself and friends at a home studio.
C)Who is a full blown Geek who just loves to analyze equipment and listen
to recordings done with the fruits of his genius.
D) Anyone else with motivations not in the above.
Please give a few details.I myself am a proud B as explained in an earlier thread.
I put this thread here because this forum was on top and I have a sneaking
suspicion that the gearnuts in this forum are the geekiest of all.

C also describes me, though not as much. I'm an average geeky type across many fields, including this one.
