Unidyne III "Model SM57" different that new SM57?

Not sure exactly where this mic fits into the scheme of things, but it's going for peanuts on ebay UK if you want it. If it's good, tell me and I'll have it instead.

I do have a 545 btw, but only got a decent desk very recently so have no comments yet not based on cheap cheap preamps.

Does anyone know what year they started building them in Mexico?

I'm not sure when they went to Mexico, but I've noticed that all the SM-57's I've seen that were made in Mexico have a band with a large block text "SM-57" right below the grille... I've got six U.S. 57's and six U.S. 545's that have a "silver" band with smaller text logos right below their grilles...
