The other day I came across this dynamic mic in my closet. a google search turned up NADA except some studio equipment lists. It has a 3 position switch with B, M, and S positions. Listed on the collar is the model number, a 200 ohm rating, and "Made in Austria." From the chipped black paint I'm guessing its from a time long past. It's quite possible it could have been used as a small baseball bat.

any ideas??

What it is

hmmmmmmmmmmm

Let's see a picture.... Can you get one?

Oakstreet vintage had one for sale with this description:

DYNAMIC-CARDIOID MICROPHONE
mic for sale

A bit of a classic and a GREAT performer. Out performs a Shure SM-57 as it goes to 25-17,000 Hz and a '57 a more limited frequency range of 50Hz-15Khz. The mic also features a 3-position bass Roll Off selector filtered at 25, 50 and 100 Hz. Unidirectional "Cardiod" pattern enables high "gain before feedback". Maximum SPL of 128 db. Great for vocals and general purpose instrument mic'ing. Integrated wind screen. Standard XLR connection. Champaign finish. Works and sounds great!!! This one comes with all the original accessories including box (a bit worn), foam lined case, official AKG rubber clip, European stand adaptor and spec. sheet. Mic is in NEW condition.

Mine looks very similar, if not the same. No way to tell if the one in the pic has the -E extension, or what the differences are between those with or without it. The mic clip of mine is made of metal and plastic instead of rubber in the pic. The foam lining in my case is also different. It has the brown faded look of old gear. But its good to know that the switch is a bass roll-off and the mic apparently outperforms an SM-57. Maybe I could mic a guitar cab and see what my results are. Probably a more suitable use for it than as a bat :p
I can take a pic, but have no idea how to put it in a post. any ideas?
