I`m going to get myself a Uni-Vibe pedal.

and I just wondered if anybody have any recomandations on wich to buy and wich to ditch :)
 
if you have the bucks, get the original. they're pricey as hell. fulltone has one that sounds cool.

Who`s got the original?

I know Dunlop have the patent on it, but I read or heard somewhere that they wernt the first to make, the same goes with the cry baby.

am I missinformed?

I'm pretty sure that dunlop had nothing to do with the original univibe. I'm not up on the history of it though.
 
I have a lovepedal magic boy. It's low cost and has limitations. It's sounds great for single coils, humbuckers its ok. Clean tones are a must for this one too. Distortion or overdrive gets lost. There are samples on the website.

I've heard the mojovibe and it sounds wonderful and is a replica of the original univibe as far as general circuitry. The fulltone is also. I havn't heard it though. The reviews seem mixed on the fulltone. You/ll pay more than 200 bucks for one that does the real deal. The deja vibe II has the expression ppedal for speed to do hendrix ala machine gun and voodoo chile (reprise). I think the mojo vibe has the jack to plug in the expression pedal. You can also buy it direct and i think analogman carries it too.
 
I have a Fulltone Deja Vibe - one of the older, large gold ones. It is lovely. I have tried a couple of digital version, and there is no comparison. I'm sure the newer more compact Fulltones are great as well.

i would stay away from those boxes. The switching is board mounted. yikes..... I own the tremelo from VL. The effect was mediocre but construction of the pedal was not so good.
 
Thanks for the great info guys, I`ve set my sigths on the mojo-vibe before, checkin up on this thread.
Its good have this backed up :)
