Unfamiliar Brand Guitars

I almost always try a few guitars, right out of the boxes, before buying.

I'm sure I looked at half-dozen or more Squier Bullets before buying one. In fact, I bought two!! One for me/now and hold one for the oldest kid's birthday/future. Hard cases too, which is funny, but cases cost almost as much as the guitars themselves. Anyway, I had to do some serious setup on the Squier Bullet, because it was dead-flat on setup, right out of the box.

Also, I got the Ibanez GAX-70, and I'll agree, the balance is not even. It's been a while, but I remember it being top-heavy, toward the head stock. It's not balanced like the Strat style axes I have.

When buying guitars, which is seldomly, I'm typically checking sometimes up to 10 different units, right out of the boxes, and I'll keep asking for more stock out of the back, until I've found one that's as "flawless" as possible,... which admittedly, isn't easy,... in this day of overseas slave labor manufacturing and shoddy QC.

That's all for now. Gotta go.
