This is it ... still don't know where all the guitar tracks went in the chorus, but this is the last version I will EVER make of this song.

I had one hour in which to mix from scratch, and there were people milling around. So I did what I could - remixed the drums from ADAT, compressed the bass and did some reverb and comp on the lead vocals. My crap voice has been exposed for what it is, as had my bad breathing and sibilance!

Oh well ... tell me what you think. It's coursework - I only have to show basic proficiency at recording and making it not sound too ridiulous.

Well, since you're not gonna remix it, what's the point of offering feedback?

Just kidding. Nice sound overall. Vocals are a little too loud and the backing tracks sound a bit muffled. But, other than that, I think you've shown your proficiency at recording and mixing. I've heard far worse singers too.

Scrubs - I compressed the vox last thing before mixdown and with people buzzing around I didn't get a chance to check that level. Just realised that I took a backup of all the wavs, so maybe I will put them all in a sequencer at home and have one last stab at sorting it out!

Yep, vocal's a bit loud.... I had it cranked to listen to the guitars, and the vocal hit me hard in the face!

The drums sound OK but they're weak in context of the mix and yes, the vocal seems too loud.

*Sigh* I think I'm going to have to sort this song out properly, aren't I? Mix it as properly as I can instead of just leaving it a third done. Ho hum.
