unbalanced otari question

so my plan is to use the inserts on my mixer to run to my otari mx5050 mkIII for recording. and the outs on the otari back to the mixer for monitoring and eventually bumping to my computer for mixing. i found cables at hosa: stereo 1/4 to 1 female xlr and 1 male xlr. Do i need to rewire the cables, because the otari is unbalanced xlr, pin 3 hot?

yes - rewire to pin 3 hot on the XLR sides.

Or order the hosa cables with pin 3 hot...they make them that way.

OR..order those little Hosa adaptors that have a pin 2-pin3 cross inside. That'll save you a bunch of rewiring.
