do you guys think having the three feet of unbalanced cable on the Delta1010LT will really make that huge of a difference? I mean, it will be balanced up until the mic pre... I'm debating going with the 1010LT or the 1010 will balanced inputs. But if its not gonna make a huge difference I'll just save the money, ya know. BTW I need all the inputs for primarily recording drums. thanks-Joe

If you use propher shielded high quality unbalanced cables in "safe environtment" (not running it crossing unshielded AC cord, and other -noise potential- stuff) then three feet is okay... I use pre-amp from Mackie into 1010LT about the same distance. No problem at all. You may be worried more about noises picked by mics rather than cables running... ;)

I use a 6ft 8 channel snake from hosa, to go from my 6 direct outs on my mackie 1402.... no problems, even in a less than desireable place... so, i'd say NO PROBLEM for a 3ft cord in moderate to really good conditions... 1010LT is amazing for the money.

thanks for the responses... I may just go ahead and pick one of those cards up pretty soon.
