I hope you weren't expecting any confetti. I think it all got used up last night in Miami, or left out in the rain. :p

Every opinion counts

Is a shame to spoil a perfectly good finish?
Is it cheesy to relic a guitar?
Is up to an individuals own preference

The answer to the above is YES

The thing is, is it vulgar to have say tattoos, a lot of people think so, in fact quite a large number.

Why do we take a pair of jeans and relic them. That is what you and me buy (stone wash, worn, torn, creased ETC) because it’s cool and acceptable by most people.

I would love to own a beaten up 50 year old strat, yes but they are expensive and is the expense worth the tone difference you would get say between that and a reissue.
Would I buy one in pristine condition, No because I would be afraid to play it, so it would be just for collectable reasons only.

Well I do buy stone wash jeans and I do have custom tattoos and I do own a few guitars in great condition.

But my favorite guitar is my 62 reissue strat which I have personally and heavily reliced
AND I LOVE IT TO BITS
Do I regret it not yet will I regret it don’t know

The thing is, its everyone to there own and I will probably be called allsorts of things, fake cheesy. Even a (C you Next Tuesday) but the thing is I love my guitar and I took great care in what I did just as I would decorating my house with my wife looking over my shoulder.

Everyone likes to have or to do something there own way and we will never understand why people do something’s that they do. But if we were all the same nobody would have anything to talk about and life would be very boring.

Love and regards me

Which is more valuable:

A pristine old strat, or one that was set on fire- by Jimmie?

A Jag-Stang you made, or one made by or for Kurt?

(This last one is not so cut-and-dried...)
What is more interesting: A pristine 50's Tele, or one that was the daily tool of a touring musician?

Just for the sake of scorekeeping, I ordered all new screws from stew mac. They were a tidge cheaper than guitar fetish and had everything I needed.

 that is hard for me to believe that anything from Stew Mac has something cheaper than anyone else.
