Hey,

So I uploaded some more recordings on http://www.myspace.com/miketopash

The recordings are pretty trashy, but I want comments from people who don't know me about the songwriting, playing, arranging, vocals, etc. You know, friends and family just have a tough time telling you that something you created totally sucks. :) But strangers shouldn't, so give me some perspective here.

Thanks folks,

Mike

I just checked the page and it's working correctly. I know myspace can be a pain sometimes though. I've found that refreshing the site works occationally.

I'm actually wondering if uploading mp3s that are 192K as opposed to 128K might be causing a problem. Probably more loadtime I'd assume. Regardless, I'm gonna start uploading them at 128K, cause they're so lo-fi anyway.

peace,

Mike

Can't remember the last time a myspace player worked for me.... This is another song that'll go unlistened to.

Nowhere radio is cool if you wanna drop it elsewhere....

just curious.. does mine work for you?

Nope

The player is always 'connecting' or 'loading XML file'

Any idea if its my settings? .....although it used to work fine

hmmm..... what is your system setup?

XP? IE6? etc...

Do you have the latest windows updates?

The linked worked for me after a couple of minutes but on ADSL it shouldn't take that long.
blackriverside,
This section of the forum is principally about mixing though people comment on performance and song quialyty all the time.
Through & Through is indeed roughly put down. It has a nice mid 60's folk feel. The guitar picking figure is pretty uncreative - needs variety unless you play it intensly like Leonard Cohen used to. The lyrics are nice, thoughtful too. It's a good song sketch.
You should try the songwriting section of the forum for the kind of feedback you're after. Though I'm sure people will give you some feedback on this one if they can get through your link.
Good luck - though coming from the home state of Iggy, teh Stooges & MC5 as well as MOTOWN I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thanks for the suggestions rayc. Don't forget Madonna!! oh, we're talking about musicians aren't we?..so nevermind. haha.:)

peace,

Mike
