Homerecording.com CD/Replies

Hello, I have a few things to actually SAY.

I Think the moderators should warn 'dead air replyers' who wish only to type a line of nothing and add to thierpost amount.
Lately I have been of no use here at HR.COM, but for years have been a GREAT student and botherer of the more experienced, and then once I became too smart to learn anymore, i actually had answeres for others.
Wow, what a concept of a bbs.
What is the reason for people trying to get thier post #'s so high.
Anyone who regularly reads posts KNOWS who is a regular, who is really working, and who is a new guy. Why waste so much time for me to check info on the comp cd (The actual topic here) and see a new post and a reply with nothing about the cd, better yet, nothing about ANYTHING.
I am pretty inactive in the msgs and I think I know why.
I know, "Lighten up Francis" is what you would tell me... I'll try.
Just looking for a hit ,RJ

Roel? Is that you?

Where am I? The Comp CD forum?! How did I get here? I musta been really wasted....

There's a signpost up ahead.

You've just crossed over into the....

Bozeman Bermuda Triangle.

When you hear them go to a commercial, pick a direction and

RUN!

Actually it's kinda nice to see someone who has been on this BBS longer than I have with less posts. I really wish I could contribute even 5% of what I've learned here in the past couple of years but I'm not that talented.

I know a lot of talent has gone into this CD and I'm really looking forward to hearing it. It really doesn't matter to me when it comes out 'cause I'll be here for a long time. :D

Fill me in a little

Hi, first time here, and I've only read the last 2 days posts. Are only senior members actually responded to here? CD Compilation project? By who? Are the musicians members? Where are thier posts? Oh, by the way Mr. Slack, my condolances on your grandpa's passing. And congrats on the wedding. I don't know anyone here, but respect is still in fashion where I come from.
Just opening doors on the board here. There are so many aspects of this field, and the forum has opened my eyes and ears to many of them. I am a long time musician, and I thought this door would lead me to musician/engineer posts. Maybe I should read the archives of this forum. Is this where I would find the collaboration dialogs, or more of what I just read? Thats not to be sarcasstic. I have no time to waste on chat that demoralizes an endeavor such as this forums heading suggests is happening here.
Although, I do like to talk to people that are focused on the issues at hand. I can read bullshit all day in any number of net craprooms... er, chat rooms. Thats not to say this is one. So tell, me, what is this forum about? Sounds like you are working on something, but from the posts I read earliar, it gives the impression that this is a closed session. Sorry if I interferred in a private project, just opening doors.

Don't sweat it Rick. The project and information regarding it can be found as you suggest by searching the archives for posts in this Forum earlier than your default settings.

The project is "closed" , but there may be a few copies available. As well, this Forum is the appropriate place to discuss the H/R.com comp CD2.

This project

Hello Rick,
This comp CD priject is quite an event. It is a two cd set with, as I understand it, multi-format (ibm/Mac) html/data or something which allows for pictures/bios/recording procedures for every song/artist/studio. SlackMAster is in charge. Ed's dog ate my cd about two years ago(yes this thing is a slow mover) b
ut I got the cd replacement in in time. I am floored at slack's list of life challenges all hitting him at once, but pleased to hear some good news of marriage. These guys started a project and I know have worked VERY hard and put in LOTS of time. More than guys like myself did to record 1 song. But..... everytime I leave here and return 6 months later I expect the cd to be a big hit, have sold out, or at least released. NOT EVEN CLOSE BUD.
SLACK!!I know what a wedding can to to a cd project. I know you want this thing perfect. But there comes a time to DO SOMETHING, EVEN IF ITS WRONG. I am not critisizing, but if you wanna ship me a big box of something, I am willing to bet I would get it out withtin a month. Even If I have to dupe 100 cd's at 24x, make color copies for 1$ each and stuff and ship myself. I think SLACK has been stuck with wayyy too much to do.
The images of CD artwork were up, but I cant find them. See if you can RICK. The are COOOOOOOL!!!
Good luck SLACK, and Call or better e-mail or reply if I can help in any way.
P.S. I am In no way insinuating incompetence or SLACKing, just standing around 2 years later saying "can I help?"

Dawg', where my C-mo-D at!!?? Do I gotta' come up to Bozeman and get ghetto!!??:p

if not, I'll take a DVD bootleg version of either "Spideman" or "Star Wars Episode XXXVCMMLIIVMCXXLII part 22-A -56th Series"

Condolences and Congrats on Your Elder now in Peace and your new Bride respectively!

"Your elder now in peace"... THats a really awesome phrase, Q... Perhaps the truest (and niceest) euphamism for that event that I have ever heard... Did you make that up?
I didnt know, Slak...
I'll be sending mental energy your way.
Now send me that fucking comp CD...

MY condolences about the wedding.

No! It's not!

See, part of being a smart guy, I mean, REALLY smart guy, is realizing that you can ALWAYS learn more, and be willing to do so. Also, by responding to even the stupidest questions, even if it's about nothing, you really are learning yourself. I really am smarter than that guy that already knows everything...
