For any UAD1 users, the EMT Plate is out. This may possibly be the best in the box reverb to date. I just heard it and its very impressive. It rivals my M1 external box.

Try some convolution reverbs. You may even sell your M1 after that (which is actually a very affordable box for its sound quality).

Acutally I have a lot of convolutions but this plug is more convenient and sounds smoother. It's pretty darn amazing. David Berners the guy that modeled this did a remarkable job in emulating the real thing. Most of the convolutions are still slightly grainy and don't decay in a pleasing fashion. The EMT is very close to a real studio plate. Enough raving on my part, however, if your looking for a high end sound in a plug in, this one out classes convolution verbs with less loading and a more convenient interface. My two cents.

I will definately give it a try. I do have a UAD card, so I will give the demo a whirl. Concerning convolutions, I have been using the Waves IR-1. I don't really like the stock stuff too much, but I got ahold of a nice collection of Lexicon 960 and 480 presets, and a TC M6000, and even some Eventides. The difference between the Eventide Eclipse convolutions and my actual Eclipse were startlingly slim. Add that to the fact that instead of running one Eclipse verb, I can now run 6, I love it:D

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on the EMT vs the Waves convolution. I use SIR which is free and have run across an excellent Lex 960. In fact it was my go to reverb for vocals. The EMT sounds so real, for lack of a better word. Very top notch ambient sounds which improve the overall sound of mixes in the few tunes I have used it on.

Tried the demo, stuck it on some aux sends, I like it alot and that was strictly off pre-sets. Dreamverb and this will compliment each other rather nicely
