heh heh
Of all the members that you may suspect, I know not one!!! That's pretty funny...WTF? I mean really, I would like to think that I do alright, many people have told me so.
My point is, if this person had talent...or had knowledge of music, why the hell would he/she tell me to friggin stop singing all together? No constructive criticism, no nuggets of wisdom...just you suck!!!! I am no friggin fat lady...but I'd like to think I do alright!!!
Seemed like there was something personal about it, I don't know!!! Maybe because I haven't have someone to tell me to flat out stop singing! After reading other posts by Princess Super Critic it kinda made me feel like this person had a vested interest in making a few of us uneasy. Come to think of it, I am starting to believe it might be someone in disguise. LOL...heh heh.
But really, I'd probably be asking for it to say everything the person said isn't true...but then again I sure as hell don't care.
BTW, I know a few of you were talking about softpeddling...and you're right. HOWEVER, there are people that do compliment my strengths and then go over what needs improvement....and that's what I need. If someone wants to tell me that it's good...and doesn't really want to go into what wasn't so good, that's fine...but, I would also like to know what they found that might need improvement.
Last night, I did an open mic...three songs. I got a great response from the crowd and the person in charge invited me back. Another musican came up to me and asked to speak with me. He gave me some good pointers....I am sure if he didn't care, or didn't see potential, he wouldn't have bothered!!! BTW, The pointers:
-Stop beating the shit out of your guitar (nervous tension :\)
-Let the dynamic mic work for you
I don't believe he said anything about "stop singing". This guy is an awesome guitarist and is also a songwriter. That is the kind of respect we should all have for each other. Gotta take the good with the bad...that is the only way we can improve.
