Wrote these two songs last week and would like some opinions. I think I got the parts somewhat worked out. Let me know what you think before I re-track them properly. Thanks

"Takes me down" reminds me a lot of AC/DC. It is a good foot tapping rock and roll track with a rock guitar solo. I preferred this one to "Gonna get hard". I still couldn't make out all the lyrics and I am not sure the voice is ummmm.... powerful enough to compete with the guitars. I'd like to see the lyrics - can you post them?

All in all, it got my foot tapping and that has got to be good!

Nah the voice is me. Everytime I write a song the band wants to hear it finished then make suggestions but it won't be me singing when it gets recorded again and it'll have live drums instead of the drum machine

Lyrics:
I got arms going numb
Got things out of place
There's prophets at my front door
That bluffed me out of my ace

She never stays too long she'll leave you when she's done
Cruisin' on the highway headin' for the sun

Takes me down
Turns me around
With all I've seen I'm running out of steam
The girl's got a rhythm I ain't never seen
Takes me down

Waiting on the secon floor
Elevator's out of order
Lost my breathe coming down the stairs
And couldn't make it to the border

She never stays too long she'll leave you when she's done
You'll be feeling lonely but you're better off alone

Takes me down
Turns me around
With all I've seen I'm running out of steam
The girl's got a rhythm I ain't never seen
Takes me down

Yeah, Take Me is gonna rock, once you get the right singer on it and you re track / mix with more ear friendly guitar EQ

I was trying to figure out why I didn't like the vox, think you put your finger on it very nicely.

Not a style I'd likely listen, but I certainly wouldn't switch the station on this tune either. Keep it up, it'll be really good with a polished cut.
