ive got two mix effects that i will post clips for...
i was wondering...if this was YOUR MIX, and someone wanted these effects, how would you go about doing them.
First Effect:
I am asking in reference to the sort of low-fi drum effect...you hear int he background after the downbeat. obviously i can sense some delay in it...but what do you feel was done? how would you do it? maybe compression, eq and delay on an overhead? or a pair of them? let me know
Second Effect:
I am asking in reference to the tape slow effect. I've had some experience trying to recreate this in the past, with a plug-in, that was simply shit. In digital recording, how would you achieve this? Is there a plug-in that is better (i can't recall the name, it was two years, 30 minutes, and throwing it out).
Thanks a bunch...Much appreciation to anyone who has anything useful to say
