he is a troll. a TROLL.
But MB compression so creamy yes. Surrender to the void resistance are futile Ray.BigRay said:Timothy, do you like getting reeled into his game, or do you just not know that he isnt being at all serious?? Beware...
Ha-ha, well said. I bet you can heighten that by listening through one of those old 70s era plastic earpiece thingies - you know, the single earphones that came with the old transistor radios.walters said:Why do you want it to sound like TV? i like how it changes the sonic character, mix balance, gives a special colouration signature to the sound and its change the timbre of the mixdown or master 2 track i love that squash sound with the highs and lows cut out plus its own colouration, sonic character...
Cool. Almost as if it's squeezing your ears into different shapes like a funhouse mirror. To do that just make sure one band is always compressing way more than the others.Another think i like is Multiband phasing...there is alot
of holes, cancellations, its MIXES in the AIR alot its very random how the phase shifts come in and out...
You should experiment with the different filters on the slim slow slider MB. One setting is for phase-linear filters, the other isn't.walters said:If u automate or sweep the different bands compression rations and time constant would u get different Time Arrivals to your ears?
3 band MB limiter has high, mids, lows and compresses them but with a phase shifter before it or in its side chain can mess with "time arrivals" like example
the highs may sweep but some of the mids frequency are cancelling so u get holes and the low frequency Time arrivals alittle late so u get this alternating back and forth sweeping sound but at all 3 bands moving up and down and in and out

Another think i like is Multiband phasing how do i get the multi band to phase alot i hear it alot on old acid 60's bands
and the stereo mix has multiband phasing going on between the 2 speakers and sinces its multiband phasing there is alot
of holes, cancellations, its MIXES in the AIR alot its very random how the phase shifts come in and out of the 2 speakers
how do u think they did this Tim?
Back then they used tape phasing so would they do the tape phasing before with the thumb and duplicated master 2 track mix that down and then run the phasing mixdown through the multiband compressor/limiter?
When using the Thumb your not always phasing constant its irregular in and out of DRY and phasing with a phaser using a LFO
its constant sweeping up and down its way different

walters said:What does this phase-linear filters do thats different than the regular filters ?
Is the phase linear filters like a phase shifter network your adjusting the phase of the signal instead of the frequency?
And i heard to take the stereo mixdown master send it to a Multiband limiter and the output is MONO not Stereo
It's whatever you set it to. Well, actually only in the Northern hemisphere. In the Southern hemisphere when you select stereo you get mono, and vice versa. Something to do with the multiband crossovers and geoelectrical fields. Or was that the thing with how a toilet flush swirls... counterclocwise or clockwise depending where you are... I can't remember. It's one of those.walters said:And i heard to take the stereo mixdown master send it to a Multiband limiter and the output is MONO not Stereo

Post a clip Walters. We want to hear your stuff. You're in the green now.
