sorry Mr. Tunning!

anyway, the dude who started this thread should have read VSpace's original post, checked out the Drum Tuning Bible and been done with it already! thats how i learned everything i ever knew about tuning a drum.

how very diplomatic and helpful of you zed I just popped ya a few reppies

God i'm glad i got my question about drum tuning in last week. jesus.

ok.. ok i did laugh out loud at Mr Tom Tunning, but seriously these places are a really useful place to learn things for free and get respected opinions from more experienced people. i think you were a bit harsh on the guy, i mean how old are you? how old was he? he could have been a young lad just starting off and you pick on him for his spelling.

ok im not seriously having a go at you people, but if you ever want any new people joining and getting help here, be a bit nicer, if not go to myspace instead. honestly reading that it was like a new kid at school just tried to get talking to his new classmates but the brats just took the piss out of his speech impedement.

anyway yep read that tuning post i created. just to add to that, i bought a drum dial and its ace.

bye.

please let me still post here :)

It wasn't the spelling that was being singled out... It was the fact that the EXACT topic was just brought up by you a few days before, and was no doubt available for him to read on the first page of the forum...

Our behavior is mainly a self-preservation mechanism to keep us jovial and able to continue providing (and seeking) help in the forums where the same questions continue to be asked every week, month in and month out....

Sorta like paramedics, or soldiers who create a "humor-shield" amongst themselves to protect them from the stuff they need to deal with on a daily basis...

OK, not really a valid comparison I'll admit...

What we're dealing with is WAAAAY more intense than theirs is...

Bwaahahahaha very funny ya'll

OK kudos to all "ya'll" for keeping me entertained with your posts. LOL! Very funny stuff.

Although none of "ya'll" jumped on the joke about tuning by ear...

So, How DO "ya'll" tune the drums by ear?
I used to try tuning my guitar by ear but it kept getting stuck between the strings.:p

There. I dunnit ya'll.

Now on to tuning. Check out the tuning bible and then come back here asking us to translate it for you. Cheers, Rez

Ok, now you must admit he is right. There were some comments made that might have made a sensitive soul somewhat upset, and in that regard I do feel some guilt. But rest assured that hundreds of potentially mind numbing questions have been thwarted based solely on the amount of bloodshed witnessed here. But at least I have an excuse. Im an Australian, and we generally have a sarcastic and irreverent edge to us. Thats why I moved to Canada, to be with all you sweet polite and gentle canucks.
Td as this is just a cyber forum and cyber aliases are utilized, it should not be taken too personally. One can say whatever one wants to say or be whoever one wants to be, just have to be prepared for the consequences. I think if we were all sitting in a room together 95 per cent of this stuff would not be said to each others face. Thats why I love it. I get a great laugh from this forum, recording info is only a small part of it for me.
Now lets get on with how to tune these friggin drums!!!
