i just got a musician's friend credit card and i don't know what to buy first or the best thing to buy first. i was thinking of a nice 61-key korg trition le. what do you guys think about that? basically i just want to make hip hop beats with all of the material i have stock-piled into my head. i only have a computer, an acoustic guitar, an old yamaha psr 530 keyboard, sound forge, reason, and the free pro tools. i want to build a home studio to produce music for others to sing and rap to . . . and i'll write, produce, mix, record and master. so whatta ya think?

Cant give you any specific advice since im working with FL and and Edirol PCR30, but please reasearch, reasearch, and when you decide to buy, do more research. You dont wanna have something you really dont need or use on that credit card.

Yeah Triton Le is tight. I've had it for about six months now. I think it's a good (if not the best) keyboard for hip hop producing, you can get really versatile tracks with that. I don't use the sequensing function of it though, from your post I suggest that you won't either. I had a Yamaha psr 550 before the Triton and it really is a big leap forward.
