Im not using my a soundcard, im using a PreSonus Firepod, kick and snare are through MIDI, 4 toms, 2 overheads. Im not so much worried about the tom mic's as i can just delete the empty space when they are not being hit (recorded). But the Overheads, I have a Left and Right obviusoly, so i think there in lies the heart of my challenge, to EQ the overheads to still sound good by themselves, then throwing in the MIDI kick and snare. I dunno, i jsut fear it lol, but gonna be fun i guess.

What you think a typical Latency setting for my Firepod and Cubase SX3.0?

ERRRR NOW I START IT UP WHEN I GET AROUND MY RECORDING STUFF, AND I GET NOTHING ERRRRRR this si dabmn frustrating. If i clock the cell i get sounds output and input into Cubase. But the actual triggers doesnt do nothing. any idea's?? its gotta be my DM5 then?? i have trigger 2 (kick) using MIDI note C1 and trigger 3 (snare) using MIDI note D1. and those are the cells in have my 2 .wav samples in Battery. so any idea's??

your soundcard is the firepod (force of habit). For quick playback, i would set it at the lowest it will go and see how it works, if it crackles, then go up a step

does Track or Rel Trg buttun have to be enabled in Battery, im so damn frustrated right.....might punch the computer here soon haha

Finally got it sounds really good. Im really impressed with the snare, theres a nice blend of mic'd and triggered sounds. toms are bareballs, not eq'd or nothin, but ya...thanx too all you guys for helping me out. Great having experienced help
