Hey everyone!

So, I have this Traynor TS-100 combo amp. It came with 2x12" speakers, which were blown when I got it. The head is 4 ohms. It has one input for the speakers. Me the guitarist in my band want to use the head with a new cab. We got a great offer on a Marshall MG412 that is almost stupid to pass up. We want to know if anyone knows how to rewire the cab so it will work with the head we have. Please let me know!

Thanks!

Depends what speakers are in the cab. 4x12 wiring diagrams and ohm ratings are just a google away.

well first off you can run it into the cab as-is just fine.
The 4 ohm rating is gonna be the minimal ohmage you can run but that won't keep you from running it into 8ohms .... there'll be no problem in terms of harming anything.
You might (depending on the amp) get a bit less output into 8 ohms ........ in some cases that might be desirable as it would bring down the volume somewhat. That would be counteracted a little by going to 4 speakers instead of two so personally I don't think the volume difference will be very much.
And there's not gonna be anyway to wire a 4 speaker-8ohm cab to be 4 ohms.
So I'd get the cab and just run the head into it without worrying about it being 8ohms.
