Traveling with a Hard-Drive

The easiest way to back up data these days is to use a USB or firewire external hard disc. You can back up say 40G of data on USB2 in less than 1/2 hr. The point is you really should always make sure important data ... like music always has 2 places where its backed up. In terms of time 1/2 hr is nothing compared to the time you took to make the music .. and $250 for an external 100G hard disc is a good investment for these purposes.

I am impressed that so many of us are big enough to ignore drstawls ill-informed advice and childish name calling...

(wait, I am not ignoring it, am I...?....oh well)

safe or sorry- you decide

it isnt a given that your drive will be destroyed if you travel with it- but just exactly how important is your data? is your data worth $75 and an hour of your time? its insurance- plain and simple (some of mine is not :))
