I'm a new person here and I was referred here by another message board!

I created this rought clip, and it was mentioned to me that is sounded a little dark. Mind you, I haven't done any EQing yet... would like some opinions please:

I don't think that it sounds all that dark, maybe a little bit, but I think it gives it a cool vibe. I would like to hear the kick come out a little more, but thats just me. Pretty cool!!

Thanks for the feedback! I can brighten thing up during the Mastering phase, but the person who made the comment made my clips out to be way too dark. I personally they sounded alright.

Kick... yes, it kinda gets lost in the mix.

They both sounded fine on this end. Something I noticed though and I apologize if it's suppose to be there but on the first track at around 1:46 there is a 'beep'. Does anyone else hear it?

Yep... good ears, and it will get mixed out. These are very rough mixes with a bunch of stuff that will be removed when I get the final mix done. I still have to put more instruments in and vocals.

I did this mix so quick because there were a lot of people interested in the sound of the Diezel Einstein guitar amp. I killed two birds with one stone, showed off the Einstein and worked on my project at the same time! :D
