track bleed 1-2

Been a user of Ntrack for about 5 years, great product. I am trying to upgrade. I built a new machine: XP, sound blaster live card 24 bit. When I record track 2, track 1 is part of the mix. I have tried everything the manual states. One suggestion was to turn off wav on the mixer, but then I don’t hear anything. Another suggestion was the output of sound card was playing back to the input channel, I only had two options in the list box and it made no difference. Please help, I really want to be able to use 24 bit recording.

Turn of "What You Hear" in the Windows Audio Mixer playback section.

That's for Creative's built-in 'gaming effects'... it's turned on by default and screws up any attempt at recording.
