Did you throw away the manual that came with your BCF?

You can download another one here.

Altitude 909 says it best in his signature line - when in doubt, rtfm. Or words to that effect...

i have the manual..but it doesnt help...the instructions arnt clear at all...and i have read through the whole thing and cant figure it out

i have figured everything out exept how to set diffrent things to diffrent buttons in mackie emu mode...i have the template for audition..but i wanna change them around..is that possible?

Again - read the manual.

Everything you are asking is in there, and the Behringer midi controllers are NOT difficult to program --- I have the BCR2000, which is the one with the knobs.

Find the part of the manual in which it tells you how to change what a single button or fader is sending. Then repeat the process for the rest of the unit.

your not helpin bro..i did read the manual..and i still dont know how to change the buttons while in mackie mode..and it doesnt refrence that at all...

Botinok, I understand your problem, unlike the guy who just told you to read the manual. I just got a bcr2000 a few days ago. And I read the manual which is not very helpful when it comes to setting up the thing. I have now managed to turn bcr2000 into a fine mixer for Cubase SX3 using the generic remote control in Cubase. But it was hard work. I found that everything worked well with "controls only" (the first preset on bcr2000).

However, the reason the manual is of little help is because it all depends on what host you wish to connect it to. Most of the work has to be done in the host, and some maybe don't have an easy way of setting up an interface.

Remember to upgrade to the latest driver. This is easy downloading from Behringer. A little more difficult is upgrading the bcr2000 hardware. But there is a program you can download to do this. In my experience you should restart the computer and switch bcr2000 off/on for every step you take doing this. Otherwise it won't work.

The Behringer BCF is very easy to get going, but only with certain applications and using certain styles. It seems as though all the good stuff is very complicated to get functioning properly and stably. The manual is virtually useless when it comes to setting up their controllers for certain emulation modes etc... I suggest you find a forum somewhere that deals with the specific software you are using and see if anyone there can point you in the right direction to getting it all set up properly.
