I guess I better include the lyrics now.

Civlized Man

Is this a blank? (real slow)
IN the deep dark deapths of America
There lived a civilized man
But when he spoke no one would listen
No one could understand a civilzed man
No one would listen to a civilzed man

When he spoke of where he'd been
or told of what he'd seen
When he tried to share his dream
No one would listen to the civilized man
No one could understand the civilized man

He would not recognize no nations
He would not follow any creeds
He had the answer to our questions

He said that love is all we'd ever need
love is all we'd ever need

You might be able to tell from the lyrical content.

This tune wont play either but it is downloadable.

Dragon! Wrong link man!

Here is the proper link so people aren't too kerflunct:

http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/alternative/dragonworks/

The link is displayed in two places on your artists interface, just copy/paste the link that is in the top left by your username if you forget!

BTW, Playback works 100% for me on lo-fi and hi-fi, despite the fact lo-fi sounds funny.. It is a true stream (unlike some sites that just download the file to your temporary directory and play it back) so Hi-fi means you have to have a 128kbps or better connection (i.e. cable or DSL). Lo-fi should be able to play back on a decent 56k connection, but the quality will be significantly less (hence the term, lo-fi). Again, I suggest anyone wishing to critique a song and on a dial-up connection to download the song.

Thank you Waldo, you are the man. I have an 11 minute classical piece I have written that is about 9MB as an mp3 which I have never been able to upload to the web, will nowhere radio hanle that?

Indeed it will, in fact, there is a 27 minute classical piece already on NoWhere (Dr. B.N. Thadani).

Hopefully your connection won't time out before the upload is done however.... Just use them tricks I sent ya in your e-mail.

There is currently no caps on the size of the file uploaded, or the number of files uploaded. I probably won't impose one until we get really huge, but any regular contributor to the community at NoWhere will never have any sort of restrictions.

Oh yah, and don't forget to get in on that Song Guitar deal. I own one myself and they are pretty damn fine!

Im not very good at promotion, I usually leave that to someone else.

Don't worry about that, just be active in the community (post in the forums, chat once in a while) and mention your page when you can! At least try, I want this guitar to go to someone with heart!

Dragon - the 2nd link was ok but the tune wouldn't stream for me (first time that's happened with nowhereradio for me - I'll try again later).

"Downstairs"

A little notice about 99% of streaming around the world at the moment:

Thanks to some particularly nasty viruses in the wild the last few months, the net as a whole is bogged down. Therefor, streaming in some areas may be difficult. Keep in mind, that your computer connects to your ISP, and theres to there ISP, and so on and so forth, until you reach the server, and then it's got to go all the way back. Average hops? Depends on where you are, but could be as many as 100 computers the data has to hop through.

If just ONE of those systems is getting sliced by the virus.... Well, the bandwidth is going to be tight on it. And being as even the whitehouse had to battle that nasty Red-Alert one...

For a while, it may be better just to download the mp3 and play it back locally. Lord knows it's cheaper on my bandwidth!

Got it. And really liked it. Very original sounding - it strikes me as an amalgamation of Latin/blues/jazz/Carribean. Perhaps it should be remixed - but not at the risk of losing the feel. Made me want to play along (which I did).

Good stuff.

That was good stuff.....lots of energy.....it sounds like a live recording on tape from '74!

Damn DW!

You're just friggin' Santana get chased around the block by Bob Marley and Arthur Feilder! :D

Excellent creative stuff. Wow!

I put my speakers out on the front lawn, donned my bermuda shorts and one of my ol' lady's flowery halter tops. Made myself a TALL Mai Tai with a little umbrella in it. The I cranked the volume up on Island Song!
Man, I had people pullin' off the street to dance with me! What a sight.....me and all my neighbors, chain dancing kind of a rumba thing with Mai Tais to this funky island thing! Kept it kickin' with Civilized Man...Jose Quarvo, flowers in our teeth, Mambo!

I'm on vacation this week...of course I'm serious!
And now half my neighborhood thinks you're an entertainment God!
I wish I had video of these chicks dancin' on their car while it was jumping on hydraulics! Mailman got in on the act with a limbo under my mailbox. These guys roofing the house across the street started boogiein' on the roof shootin' nails in the air!

You've got a fun sound, man.

Good tune D/W...liked the percussion work, and the whole mood. Being from the "old school" myself, this kind of music shines just as bright today as it did then. Enjoyed it man..
