Torn between two mics....

Chris - Im just using the mic connected to a creative audigy z platinum front panel...do I even have preamp? :confused:
 
If you want something a bit brighter than the 58, and a bit hotter, the EV N-Dym mics are often overlooked. They have a range of models 167, 267, 767, 967 to compete with the Shure Betas, some in the same price range. I have used the 767 and 967 to record an amp in place of a 57, and it sounded great!

You might try www.fullcompass.com for a full range of mic choices, but you have to phone them to get the lowest quote. They have beat every other mic deal out there so far, and I like the way their page lists the mics by manufacturer.
