Moving forward in order to make this thread somewhat informative and conducive to this forum, one of the best budget mics for recording rap is the AKG Perception 2000 (large diaphragm). Designed specifically for bass-heavy vocs (baritone) and chest-heavy rap perf'mrs, the Perception has a lo-freq'y roll-off switch that controls unwanted bottom sound & a 10db attenuator . Unlike singers, most new rappers rarely know how to use mic/vocal techniques such as vocal dynamics, breath, phrase-emphasis, etc. thinking that "peak-clipping+" is a must. In this case the Perception offers a hi SPL capture of 145-155 (throw in some hard comp'ing and leveling work...at least until homey realizes how to use his lyrical skill in the booth).
The Perception is a well rounded mic at it's price (street $160) for spoken-lyrical flows!
