Too many hyperlinks?

ADD -- blessing and curse
All:

Last night, for about 15 minutes, I was working on my not-yet-complete (so it isn't up yet) new music site. Looking it over last night brought up a very interesting question. Is there such a thing as "too many" hyperlinks to allow the user to buy my CD? I have a "store" page that lists several locations from where a user will be able to purchase my CD (once it's finished and out there, of course!). Throughout the website I reference this page, not just on the menu (where it is located throughout the site also).

I want to make sure my website is fine-tuned and ready to go about the same time (if not before) the CD is ready (so I can collect information, etc.).

Is this a good idea, or a bad one? Is it overwhelming or not? Would it make me look desperate for a sale, or make me look like an opportunist to a visitor?

I think there's a fine balance between too many and too few, I just have to discover that balance.

What's everyone think?

You could even go really overboard and then play it for laughs. "By the way, I have a CD for sale." "Did I mention, I have a CD for sale." "Hey Rube! Buy my CD!" Stuff like that sprinkled throughout the site.

Might work.

Might not.

I'm trying to be as professional with it as possible. The site is going to be as attractive as possible, yet straightforward with no tremendously loud colors. Right now it's simple, yet attractive, and it's on my local computer.

I think the simplicity and the straightforward navigation will help out a lot. No fancy scripts or dynamic stuff, just mainly graphics, photos, information, and sound files.
