Too Drunk To Fuck - listen and critique please

Agree with everyone else's suggestion to bring the vocals out a bit but damn the guitars sound just like East Bay Ray. Way to go!

*reminds himself to buy an echoplex*
 
I'm mostly impressed with the drum sound you have on this. It sounds so organic, but slick at the same time. That's one of the best drums recordings I've heard on a home-recording in a long time. Everything else sounds great to me, too, but I really love that drum sound.
 
It's great quality...The instrumentation is dead on! The barf at the end? awesome.

But I wish you'd have tried to sing like Jello...His vocals are so goofy and exasperated, yours are almost polished. Put a little more emotion into it. I know! GET TOO DRUNK TO FUCK.

But seriously, it sounds great. It captures their vibe perfectly.

I saw them live last year with Jeff Penalty singing...Your version reminds me of what I saw that night. It's ALMOST DK.

Lol. Thanks. I can't sing like Jello though. I like to do covers as accurately as possible, but I don't try to sing like whoever I'm covering. I can barely sing as it is. :o
 
really good job! the dead kennedys are incredible, nice job sampling the puke from the end

Good job getting the almost identical guitar sound to ray, bass was great, drums were good but didnt sound quite like ted/peligro playingwise, but as its not your first instrument good job keeping it solid on the hats !

well done buddy, you get full points just for choosing such a great band anyway!
