To sync or not to sync 2 computers??

I've got 2 computers. One running Win2k and Sonar 2, the other Win98 and PA9. Both is connected to each other via Ethernet (TCP/IP).

I want to sync my computers. Is it possible to do so via the LAN or do I have to use MIDI? They're often far from each other, and I got ethernet-cables everywhere in my house.


In either case, how would I do connect the two?
