Remember kids, whatever you have, someone has bigger and better. It not the size of your "studio" its what you do with it that counts. Ask any bitch record executive.

Next year or within two years, sell the Mackie and go digital mixing...maybe, maybe not. Add Nord Micro and Proteus 2500 module. Empirical Labs Distressor (Stereo), 2 UA LA2A's and 2 1176's possibly software version when they come out for the mac maybe hardware version, we'll see. Then, time to go back to work, make more money.

hey tubedude

Yeah, I rant about the McDSP stuff all the time. By far the best plugin compressors and EQs I have heard... they're pretty much the reason I use the Mac for production, since everything else in the world is cross-platform.

How much did I pay for my MixPlus etc.? You don't want to know... I used to work for Digidesign...

Sell me the MixPlus for what you paid for it, minus depreciation of course... :)
Wonder if any of these hackers out there have made a conversion method for McDSP to PC. I'd love to get to use it, it sucks that these people arent interested in the biggest part of the customer base. Do you like the warmer?
Peace.

hey dark friend, how are those m-audio studiophiles? and how much you pay for them?

To Lucid...

The M-Audio Studiophiles are quite nice. They have plenty of low end, a nice clean sound, loud as heck, and are what I'd call "accurate". At $300 a pair (powered), they are a significant step for anyone currently using PC speakers, home stereo speakers, or headphones to mix their music. Granted, they are probably not as amazing as a pair of $1500 monitors with a power amp, but they work great for me.

To Dark Friend,

Are you not elsewhere known as FenderPBas? Me thinks we hangs out in the same cyber-circles.
