Shiny Snake Oil Coating

The ZXT's are but another smoke and mirrors trick to sell you a cheap, mediocre cymbal – polish it up and cite miraculous space-age titanium technology! WOW! That sounds like shit...only cooler! Stick (no pun intended) with the most played, most time-tested, most durable, most sonically pleasing, most versatile cymbals EVER MADE...the Zildjian A - the bigger, the better. For the most unbelievable, recording friendly crash you have ever heard in your life, lay hard into a 24" Zildjian A Medium Ride...(yes, 24"). If you don't believe me, ask Dave Grohl (Nirvana), Dale Crover (Melvins), or Mike Bordin (Faith No More, Ozzy). :D

Man, Dale Crover uses a 24 inch? I love his drum sound... and his drumming

Zildjians, mostly BIG A's

Dale Crover smokes the world. Let me clarify about the 24" A thing...I, personallly think it's one of the best cymbals ever made. You might think it would sound gongy and clangy like a lot of rides do when crashed on. This is not the case here. Heavy kick crashes with this cymbal punch huge, nonetheless shimmering, holes in the sky, all without losing it's purpose as a good medium ride. My reference to Dale Crover et.al was more a reference to a few of my fave hard-hitting, LOUD as hell slammers who use Zildjians - although, now that I think of it...Grohl might actually use it. You won't see it in too many drum shops, but it is a Zildjian catalog item
