Time strech tool in cool edit pro 2.0

Hello,

I know that Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is now known under the name of Adobe Audition. Nevertheless, I would have a question about the former cool edit pro.

Do anyone know what is the time stretch tool algorithm used by cool edit 2.0?

The help files does not say anything about it and even the support at adobe does not seem to know either.

A link to a web page or a book title would be very helpfull.

do you mean what it is, what it does, how it can be used?

or the actual code?

If the later, at this point it's unlikely to be published anywhere as I'm pretty sure that Adobe would insist on owning the rights
