Yeah...sometimes you need a complete overhaul and it's worth it to get it done right....I was just saying that you can always try a bit of deoxit and basic contact cleaning with tubes/jacks to get rid of crackling and hums, before dropping any $$$.
If it doesn't do the trick...then you can still take it to the tech.

Two hours of practice tonight and it sounds the same as it did before (minus the crackle). Can't ask for more Thanks to rayc for keeping that photo of my knob settings (now stored online for future reference).
